Amazon has declared that it is to open a new office in Manchester, additionally it will see investment in 1,000 research and development jobs in the UK.
Amazon's new Manchester office will open in 2020 and will be based in the Hanover Building in the city's Northern Quarter. It will become home to over 600 staff.
Amazons UK manager Douglas Gurr said:

Amazon said it has invested more than £9.3 billion ($12.2 billion) in the UK since 2010 and is on course to have over 27,500 employees on its books in the UK over the coming year.
