After a Review which took place earlier in the year, the Trustees Savings Bank (TSB) at Moorfield Parade in Irlam is set to close on the 25th of May.
The move comes as the TSB revealed that 67% of all its customers are now using mobile, online or telephone banking, and in some branches they see an average of just 20 customers regularly visiting each week.
Staff are now urging its customers to use the Branch in Eccles in the future should they require counter services as the bank moves more towards online banking as a way to provide its services.
The move is part of a larger set of closures of which the TSB hopes will bring them savings of £100m by 2020.
However, not all customers are happy at the prospect of having to travel an extra 4.5miles to visit a branch of their bank. Elderly customers are expected to be impacted upon the most due to the changes, with many unable to access or use computers, mobile phones or the internet.
Full details on the move can be found below.
