The Boltonian comedian famed for his stand-up act as well as classics like Phoenix Nights and Car Share, is planning a return to the stage in 2023 after an absence of 5-years due to 'personal reasons'.
The much loved Kay stepped away from all work commitments in 2017 with little explanation other than to say his family comes first, and rightly so.
Fans have awaited his return to the stage and it looks like the wait will soon be over as plans are reportedly being made for venues in London, Manchester and Birmingham.
Kay has been increasingly active with a recent surprise appearance at the star-studded Ivor Novello Awards.
A source speaking to the Sun newspaper said:
Quote
“He has lined up huge venues across the country including in Manchester, London and Birmingham and is hoping to announce it in September
“Peter has not performed a live stand-up set on a big stage in well over a decade now but he could not be more ready to get back out there.”
