  • MINDER STAR DENNIS WATERMAN DIES AGED 74 IN A SPANISH HOSPITAL

    Actor, Dennis Waterman, best known for his roll as bodyguard Terry McCann on 80's TV hit 'Minder' sadly passed away yesterday evening (Saturday 7th May) at a hospital in Spain with his wife Pamela at his side, his family have revealed.

    Dennis' 60-year acting career first began during the 1960s as a child, during which time he appeared in a few small stage roles for the Royal Shakespeare Company and in BBC TV series William, which had been based on Richmal Crompton's Just William Books.

    A statement released by his family, said:

    Quote

    "We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved Dennis passed away very peacefully at his home in Spain.

    "The family kindly ask that our privacy is respected at this very difficult time."

    The actor also starred in other TV hits like The Sweeney in which he co starred with John Thaw and more recently in New Tricks which ran for twelve years, until coming to an end in 2015.
