Continuing with our series of restored photographs taken by Bernard Doyle, we are delighted to see that he had taken quite a few photographs of Salford and we would like to share this selection with you.
Views of Salford Docks with Manchester Liner ships berthed up, cars parked up on what I think is Hulton Street, construction work on the underpass on Broad Street, showing St Thomas's Church in the background, a glimpse of John Street school in Hanky Park showing Whitebeam Court and photos he has taken of the flowers in the Buile Hill park Hothouses, when it was fully functioning and a delight to visit with three large rooms of varying heat, showing tropical plants it even had a large fish pond with Koi carp.
We hope they bring back some happy nostalgic memories and more to come over the following days including Hope Hospital and staff, The Park Hotel, Monton under construction and street parades featuring local Scout and Guide troops... Enjoy.
