A Salford man was jailed for his part in peddling Class A drugs as part of a 'County Lines' styled drugs running operation used by organised crime gangs to distribute illegal narcotics into areas where they are not readily available.
A Judge at Preston Crown Court Richard Mushonga aged 21-years-old guilty alongside three accomplices who made regular daily trips between Manchester and Preston delivering heroin and crack cocaine to awaiting drugs users during the months of August and October 2019.
The gang were jailed for a combined total of 15 years for their parts in the crime.
As a result Mushonga of Medway Close in the Seedley area of Salford was jailed alongside his accomplices Abrar Ahmed, 24, of Kingsway, Manchester - Yasir Ali, 22, of Meade Grove, Manchester - Shavon Morrison, 21, of Claremont Road Manchester for a combined total of 15 years.
The men plead guilty with Ahmed jailed for five years, Ali receiving a sentence of four years eight months and Morrison and Mushonga each handed three years and four months sentences.
Police became aware of the group’s activity and launched Operation New Era.
Officers conducted a number of searches, executing warrants in the Preston area which resulted in the seizure of drugs.
All four of the men were arrested and subsequently charged with conspiring to supply Class A drugs.
