    Police have arrested a 17-year-old male who was found to be carrying an hammer and knife

    Residents of Irlam Square in Irlams o'th' Height were awoken by the sounds of him smashing windows as he engaged in a wrecking spree shortly before 4 am on the morning of Monday 23rd September.

    The man was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and making threats to kill.

    Extensive damage was done to the windows of several of the homes on the block.

    The male has since been released on police bail pending further Enquiries.
