Lucas Dodd (06/08/1999) appeared in Manchester Crown Court yesterday (17 November 2022) after being charged by detectives from GMP Salford's dedicated operation to tackle organised crime in the city - Operation Naseby.

Dodd pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession of Class B drugs and money laundering offences, and was sentenced to 49 months in jail.

The sentencing is the result of an operation conducted by GMP’s Organised Crime Unit in Salford. Officers had gathered intelligence which led them to believe that Dodds was involved in the supply of drugs. They secured and executed a warrant at an address of his on Granville Street, Little Hulton on 9 September 2022, which led to an initial seizure of Class B drugs.

A thorough search of the property revealed a large amount of cash had been stowed away behind a washing machine. They then went on to uncover significant amounts of Class A drugs and further quantities of cash.

All offences were committed whilst Dodd was on licence from prison.

Police Constable Reece Brown of GMP Organised Crime Unit in Salford said:

    Quote

“Today’s sentencing is a great result for Operation Naseby. It demonstrates our commitment to tackling organised crime in Salford and I hope it sends a signal to those involved in the supply of drugs - and all the misery that entails – that they have no place in our community. If you commit these offences, we will pursue you and bring you to justice.”
