A bit of an update on this
Shortly after 10pm on Tuesday 22 May 2018, police were called to a property on Cloughfield Avenue following reports of a shooting.
Two men and a woman had been inside a property when shots were fired through a downstairs window.
The offender fled to a white car on Robert Hall Street, where another man drove the duo in the direction of Phoebe Street.
A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital where he remains for treatment of his serious injuries.
A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and has since been released under investigation.
Superintendent Howard Millington of GMP’s Salford borough, said:

“Our investigation into how this young man came to be shot continues, and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to establish who is responsible.
“Increased patrols have been sent to the area and I’d encourage anyone with queries to raise these with the officers directly. They’re there for your safety.
“We believe this to be a targeted attack and as well as increased reassurance patrols there are also dedicated armed response officers patrolling the area.
“If you haven’t yet come forward with information and saw the man, or the car, on Tuesday evening, please pick up the phone and share what you know with our local team on 0161 856 1319.”
Reports can also be made anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The offender got into the car and the duo made off towards Phoebe Street.
A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital where he remains for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A scene remains in place and Robert Hall Street is partially closed.
Superintendent Howard Millington, of GMP’s Salford division, said:
Quote“I am aware that this incident will no doubt cause concern in the local community but I want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to find those responsible.
“We have launched a full investigation with a team of dedicated officers and enquiries are ongoing.
“Thankfully the victims injuries are not believed to be life threatening but clearly this incident could have had much worse consequences.
“We have increased patrols in the area and they will remain over the coming days. They are there for you, so please approach them with any questions or concerns you may have and they will assist in any way they can.
“If you have any information that could assist us with our enquiries, or if you saw anything suspicious in the Ordsall area last night, then please get in touch as a matter of urgency.”
