  • 46-YEAR-OLD MAN CHARGED AFTER MANS FACE SLASHED IN AN ECCLES CHURCHYARD

    A 31-year-old man required stitches after an attack which happened at St Mary's Church grounds in Eccles at around 5:45pm on Monday 6th June.

    Police say the offender used a knife to slash the face of his victim, which led to him requiring 20 stitches.

    Anthony Leather aged 46-years-old and from Eccles, was charged with wounding with Intent to cause GBH and possession of a bladed article.

    He was remanded in custody to appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates on Monday 13th June.
