"It is absolutely fantastic to help our local residents get in the Christmas spirit and provide them with a nice warm meal and day out.

"But it would not take place without the fantastic support and donations from our partner organisations in the city. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done – without them this just would not be possible.

"All the people involved in this project are volunteers and are doing all they can to provide a warm welcome for our older residents.

"It is very difficult times with the cost of living rising and people struggling financially. Many of our residents live on their own and can get lonely – but thanks to this initiative they can come out, have a nice meal and not have to worry about the bill."
