    A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Manchester.  

    Madhi Husseini (21/03/93), of Heaton Street in Salford has been charged with Possession of an offensive weapon, Attempted Section 18 Assault & Possession of a knife in a public place.

    He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear Manchester Crown Court on Tuesday 6 October 2020. 

    At around 6.10pm on Tuesday 1 September 2020, police were called to reports of a stabbing at the Madina superstore on Stockport Road in Levenshulme.

    A 19 year old man was chased into the shop before being stabbed in the back with a knife.

    The man was rushed to hospital but his injuries were not life threatening.

    Police were treating the incident as an attempted murder at the time.
