Gareth Cumbo, owner of the, Only Sweets and Treats, retro sweetshop on Eccles Precinct has plans to bring a little sweetness into the lives of nurses at Salford Royal Hospital and Care Homes in the area on Valentine's Day this year.

He hopes to repeat his success of last year when he delivered free boxes of sweets to the nurses as a gesture of goodwill for all the hard work that they do.

    Gareth Said,

"My aim is to get enough donations from the public and local community, even as little as a £1 will help, to help cover the cost for me to make up and deliver over 100 of my unique pizza style boxes to Salford Royal and local Care homes to show our appreciation for them putting their lives on the line, each day for us.

"100% of the money will be put into the cost of the sweets and boxes which I will deliver personally on Valentine's Day, so if you can please donate and lets help these unsung heroes of Salford"

If you wish to help Gareth you can donate via contacting the Only Sweets and Treats shop on Facebook or by popping in and whilst you there help support a local business and treat yourself to some old time sweets.
