Police were called shortly after 5pm on Sunday 10 June 2018 to reports that a man had been robbed as he walked along Prospect Road in Cadishead.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was crossing the road when a passenger in a blue Peugeot 308 leaned out of the window and shouted over to him.
When he approached the car, the passenger in the Peugeot reached out and grabbed the man’s wallet.
Following a struggle, the driver of the Peugeot reversed over the victim’s foot. He was taken to hospital where he was treated for several injuries.
It is believed that the driver of the Peugeot and the three passengers were white men in their early to mid-twenties.
Police Constable Jessica Verbruggen, from GMP’s Salford borough, said:
Quote“The victim has been left incredibly shaken with multiple injuries following this attack and my thoughts are with him and his family as he recovers from this ordeal.
“We are continuing to investigate this incident to establish exactly what happened and we would ask members of the public who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the attack to please get in touch.
“We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone with dashcam footage who was in the area at the time, or who witnessed the incident to please get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
Anyone with any information should call police on 0161 856 5443 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
