  • APPEAL AFTER STABBING IN MANDLEY PARK

    A section of a Salford park was sealed off by police on Thursday afternoon after a man was found with a knife wound to his chest, it is said that the injuries are not life-threatening.

    The man in his 40's was treated at the scene before being rushed to Manchester Royal Infirmary.

    A police spokesperson said:

    “Police were called to Mandley Park Avenue, Broughton, shortly before 12.20pm on Thursday 17 May to reports that a man had been stabbed.

    “Officers attending found a male victim in his 40s had suffered a knife wound to the chest."
