    Salford News

Strong gusts of wind have ripped across Salford this morning -slowing traffic on the local motorway network.

Due to the elevated and exposed position of the Barton Flyover Bridge which spans the M60, there has been a 50mph speed restriction imposed between Junction 10 (Trafford Centre) and Junction 11 (Barton) with drivers of high sided vehicles being warned to take care when crossing.

The wet and windy weather is expected to pass over us within the next few hours and it should brighten up later in the day.
