Police have found a body during a search for a vulnerable Salford man who was reported missing almost two weeks ago by his family.

James Spary aged 56 had been reported missing from his home in Monton by his family earlier on June 15th..

GMP are not treating his death as suspicious after the body of the father of five children was found this morning (Sunday 28th June).

Mr Spary's family said that they had noticed a marked decline in his mental health during the months prior to his disappearance.

He is described as being a jokey guy who was always having a laugh but this last few months had seen him become withdrawn from society and increasingly depressed.

A file has now been passed on to the coroner.

We wish to send our sincere condolences to his family and friends at this tragic time.
