  • BODY OF A MAN FOUND AT A PREMISES IN ECCLES AFTER CONCERNS FOR WELFARE

    Police have cordoned of an area around an address on Cook Street in Eccles after reports of a concern for welfare from a member of the public this morning (22nd June).

    Unfortunately the body of a man was found at the premises.

    The cordon covers parts of Cook Street and Madeira Place with members of the public asked to avoid the area.

    As yet the circumstances surrounding the death have not been released, crime scene investigators are currently on scene.

    A spokesperson for GMP:

    "At around 7.26am this morning (Tuesday, June 22) police were called to a report of a concern for welfare of a man at an address on Cook Street, Salford.

    "Officers attended and sadly the body of a man was found inside the property.

    "Enquiries are ongoing and officers remain at the scene."
