Manchester theatre group LipService are seeking community quilters to help make the set for their upcoming premiere performance of Mr Darcy Loses the Plot at The Lowry in September.
Co-Director of LipService Sue Ryding said “Community groups from across Greater Manchester have already helped to create beautiful squares for our stage backdrop but we need more. If you can quilt, have a good sense of humour and love Jane Austen we’d like to hear from you.”
LipService Theatre are "Britain's favourite literary lunatics" (The Independent) and have been creating original comedies from a distinctly female perspective since 1985. They have won many awards, most recently the Stage Door Foundation Award for Excellence.
