Visitors will be able to get involved in a variety of workshops including Hop, Lindy Hop, Tap, SalsaandFlamenco. The workshops will be tailored to a range of abilities allowing visitors of all ages and experience to get involved.
Activities are free but visitors will need to book places on the workshops in advance, with a limited amount of tickets available on the day.
Tickets will be availableonlinefrom Fri 26 January.
As well as the opportunity to participate in an array of free workshops and foyer activities across the day visitors can also watch performances from professional dancers.
The Lowry’s Lyric stage will be home to a series of bite-size performances from some of the biggest names in dance, from classical ballet to hip hop, contemporary and flamenco. The programme of bite-sized excerpts are an opportunity for audiences experience a broad range of dance at affordable prices, with tickets available for just £10 for adults and £5 for children.

Also part of the dance bill, following previous successful runs at The Lowry, will beVicki Igbokwe: The Headwrap Diaries, an uplifting blend of club styles fused with African and contemporary dance, and Gandini Juggling: Smashed, a mesmerising mix of circus and theatre.
Humanhoodcompletes the line up with an extract from their first full-length duet Zero- a powerful piece with immersive sound, hypnotising lights and contemporary movement.

And as the home of dance in the North West, it is a pleasure to host Sampled. It is a wonderful celebration of dance that offers visitors of all abilities a unique opportunity to trial a new style and could perhaps be in the inspiration behind learning a new skill.”
Dance: Sampledis presented as part ofThe Movement, a dance producing partnership between Birmingham Hippodrome, The Lowry and Sadler’s Wells. Supported by Arts Council England. The Movement aims to nurture talent and bring large-scale dance productions to even wider audiences.
