After a few hours of disruption to daily life along Chapel Street, what was thought to be a WW2 era bomb turns out to not be a WW2 era bomb.
Roads were cordoned off after builders discovered what they thought to be a WW2 era bomb on a building site on chapel street. After a close inspection from the brave men of the Army Bomb Disposal Service, it was determined that it was not a bomb.
It is still unknown what it was which aroused suspicions but the old 'better safe than sorry' is always the best course of action in such cases.
Our only concern now is that Chapel Street seems to have moved to Ordsall...
