    Salford News

Emergency services were called after three baby roe deer (Fawns) were spotted wandering the embankment and attempting to swim across the River Irwell at Lower Broughton earlier today.

Kind hearted emergency services stepped in to rescue the three amigo's and relocate them somewhere a little safer.

With fast flowing underwater currents and freezing water temperatures, a dip in the river and a frozen river bank was not the best place for them to be, they could have easily gotten into trouble. It is thought that they had become disorientated and lost.

Salford has a surprising amount of wildlife and deer can be regularly seen wandering onto the cities streets from surrounding green areas.

How they got there we have no ideer but all that matters is they are safe and sound as we are quite fawned of them.
