Salfords Ceremonial Mayor, Councillor Ann-Marie Humphreys has thanked all of those who supported the Ceremonial Mayor’s charity collection which took place last Saturday night at the Buile Hill Park Firework event.
Volunteers collected spare change from revellers at the event to help support the Mayors chosen charities this year, which include Animals in Distress, Salford Loaves and Fishes and the Salford Children's Holiday Camp, who will all benefit from the proceeds.
Councillor Humphries, said:
Quote"Thanks to volunteers from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association and Salford Children’s Holiday Camp who assisted with the bucket collection and to everyone who donated on the night, over £400 was raised which will go towards supporting Animals in distress, Salford Loaves and Fishes and the Salford Children’s Holiday Camp."
