  • DRUG DEALER ON ELECTRIC BIKE 'CHARGED' FOLLOWING ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR CRACKDOWN IN THE BLACKFRIARS AREA

    On the 9th August 2023 officers from the Salford North Neighbourhood team were conducting a plain clothes operation in the Trinity and Blackfriars area of Salford due to reports from residents and business owners that drug dealing is occurring regularly around the chapel street and Blackfriars area.

    At 2:45pm a male was identified by previous intelligence riding the electric bike pictured.

    The male was stopped and detained and found to be in possession of 78 wraps of class A drugs and a further house search uncovered a large amount of cash and a substantial amount more class A drugs.

    The male was charged and remanded for possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession with intent to supply heroin, possession of cannabis and driving without insurance.

    Inspector Samuels, said:

    “The Salford North Neighbourhood team will be actively targeting drug dealing and ASB in the Blackfriars and Trinity area of Salford"
