We reported last month on the sad death of Kevin Peek who was a truly remarkable man, who didn't let his physical disabilities hold him back, he could be seen in his wheelchair in many a pub in Eccles playing pool and loving life.
He ran a computer workshop for a while in the old bank in Patricroft and held classes where he taught computer skills, nothing held him back.
Kevin's funeral will be held this Wednesday 2nd August, 11.40am at Peel Green cemetery, Eccles and many will remember Kevin for his fervent support for Manchester United and was a Season Ticket holder for many years and both loved and admired by both the club and it's fans.
I do hope that plenty of people turn out for this, I shall be there wearing my Manchester United scarf, I'm sure that's what kevin would have wanted.... lets do him proud, he was a local legend and an all-round amazing man.
