  • EMERGENCY RESPONSE AFTER ROAD TRAFFIC INCIDENT IN LITTLE HULTON YESTERDAY EVENING

    Emergency services responded to a road traffic incident on Manchester Road in Little Hulton, at around 9pm yesterday evening.

    Police quickly cordoned off the road in both directions between Hilton Lane and Bridgewater Street, and a white tent was erected.

    Fire crews were dispatched from both Farnworth and Leigh to provide aid.

    The nature of the incident remains unclear and we have contacted GMP for further information.

    A GMFRS spokesperson, said:

    “Just before 9pm this evening (Sunday 19th June) we were called to attend a road traffic collision on Manchester Road, Little Hulton, involving two cars.

    “Two fire engines from Farnworth and the Technical Response Unit from Leigh were quickly at the scene. Firefighters are working alongside colleagues from Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service and remain in attendance at this time.”
