There have been reports of a stabbing having taken place close to Lloyd's Bank on Salford Shopping Precinct at around 5:30pm this afternoon (Tuesday 24th January).

An area surrounding the bank on Hankinson Way has been cordoned off by police.

Eyewitness have described how a young man was subjected to an unprovoked attack.

This latest incident comes just weeks after a 62-year-old man was left with life threatening injuries following a stabbing on a nearby car park.

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, one of which, a twenty year old has been charged.

We are awaiting further information from GMP and will update this article accordingly.
