  • EMERGENCY SERVICES RESPOND TO CONCERNS FOR WELFARE OF A PERSON AT SALFORD CRESCENT

    There were delays on trains heading in and out of Manchester via Salford Crescent this morning.

    British Transport Police responded to reports of concern for welfare of a person at the station at around 3am this morning (Thursday 19th October).

    The incident resulted in all trains being temporarily suspended until the person was removed from danger and taken to hospital.

    A spokesperson for British Transport Police said:

    "We were called to Salford Crescent station shortly before 3.30am on Thursday, 19 October following reports of a concern for welfare.

    "Officers attended along with paramedics and a person was removed from danger and taken by ambulance to hospital."
