An Eccles postcode sector, M30 8, has been revealed as the winner of May's £3 Million Postcode Millions prize. The announcement was made in a Facebook Live video and means all of the lucky residents with a ticket in the winning postcode area will collect a cheque.

This is the second month in a row that the Postcode Million £3 Million prize has been won by a postcode in the Manchester area.

Last month, over 800 winners in Audenshaw celebrated a big win. The full winning postcode, M34 5LY, landed four lucky players an amazing £294,334 each.

This time around, the £3 Million prize pot will be shared between winners who play with postcodes in sector M30 8.

Invitations for an exciting event at Patricroft Recreation Ground on Saturday 2nd June are being sent out to all our winners. At the party, lucky players will collect their prizes and the full winning postcode will also be revealed. Players in that postcode will take home the lion's share of the cash.

People's Postcode Lottery Presenters Jeff Brazier and Danyl Johnson will be handing out cheques to players at the event.

Danyl said, "Two wins for Manchester in as many months is quite incredible. This is going to be a party to remember. I can't wait to hand out big cheques to all our lucky winners in the M30 8 postcode sector. Let's hope the sun shines on Eccles on Saturday 2nd June!"

With 32% of the ticket price going to charity, players have raised more than £301 Million for over 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

A number of local projects around the postcode area have received support from players of People's Postcode Lottery. This includes Salford Unemployed & Community Resource Centre which was awarded £19,992 last year to support people with disabilities.
