Emergency services were called to an incident in Pendlebury at around 6:30 this evening after reports of two teenagers having fallen through the flat roof of a church building.
A young boy said to be 16-years-old was found injured having fallen through the roof of St Mary's Church on Park Street.
Firefighters forced entry to the building in order to gain access to him and he was rushed to Salford Royal for treatement.
His injuries are reportedly non life threatening.Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said:

"At 6.22pm on Thursday, August 20, GMFRS were called to an incident on Manchester Road, Pendlebury, Swinton.
"One crew from Salford attended the incident where a young male had fallen through a building roof.
"The crew used a door ram to gain entry to the property and safely extricated the male.
"He was then conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
"Crews were in attendance for approximately 30 minutes."
Police say that Enquiries are ongoing as to why they were on the roof.
