Update: George has been found safe and well, thanks for sharing.
George Shortman was reported missing from Thornton Road yesterday (Monday 30 July 2018) about 7.50pm.
The 70-year-old, who suffers from Parkinson’s and learning difficulties, hasn’t been seen since and his family are understandably extremely concerned.
He is white, around 5ft 8ins, of large build, with dark hair and a goatee beard.
George was last known to be wearing a white shirt, light blue jeans, black trainers and potentially a blue parker coat.
He hasn’t taken a phone with him, any money or any medication and despite officers best efforts, they have been unable to find him so far.
We are desperate to make sure George is safe and return him home.
Anyone who sees him, or has any information about whereabouts, should call police on 0161 856 7225.
