  • FOUR CHARGED WITH PROCEEDS OF CRIME OFFENCES AFTER THEFTS FROM HMP FOREST BANK

    Four people have been charged with proceeds of crime offences relating to thefts of electronic equipment worth over £250,000 from HMP Forrest Bank.

    Aidan Bligh (19/03/1981) of Billington Avenue, Rossendale has been charged with theft and proceeds of crime offences.

    Paul Hewitt (08/03/1979) of James Street in Radcliffe has been charged with theft and proceeds of crime offences.

    Paul Albertsen (28/10/1978) of Easton Close in Middleton has been charged with theft and proceeds of crime offences.

    Samantha Bligh (28/12/1979) of Billington Avenue, Rossendale has been charged with proceeds of crime offences.

    This is not the first time that there have been thefts from HMP Forrest Bank, back in November 2018, two staff members were imprisoned after stealing £100,000 worth of electrical equipment from the category B prison.

    All will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Wednesday 13th November 2019.
