Young people who want to organise events for young people and their local community could get up to £150 towards it. The funding is being made available by Salford City Council which has supported the annual celebration of the great things young people do since 2012. Applications must be received by Friday, June 15. Councillor Lisa Stone, lead member for children’s and young people’s services, said:
Applicants are asked to hold their event on Friday, August 10, Youth Day itself, or as close to as possible and young people must take the lead on planning and delivering the event. All bids for funding are judged by Salford Youth Council, Fight for Change and the Young Carers Board. Please see: www.partnersinsalford.org/youthday.htm to download an application form. |
