'Irlam Live' the annual summer music festival held within Salford, has this year marked its seventh anniversary. The event takes place at the outdoor arena within Prince’s Park and features a whole host of talented bands, singers and DJs.
We have been given prior knowledge of the acts on at next years event and although we are sworn to secrecy we can say that it is going to be the best yet. One not to miss.
The wonderful Michele Carey is a regular face at the festival, attending the event every year where she runs a charity stall to help raise funds towards ongoing care at St Ann’s.
She sells raffle tickets, bucket collects and runs a tombola!
Over the last few years, Michele has raised almost £10,000 for St Ann's thanks to her unwavering support.
This includes both funds from the stall as well as her own personal donations.
Commenting on the event, Michele said:

“It’s a brilliant social event, with lots of exciting performers. It’s a great way to get involved and raise awareness for St Ann’s.
The hospice is a wonderful place, they have supported friends of mine over the years. Because of the way the hospice is funded they really need as much support as possible
St Ann's say that they are extremely grateful for Michele’s continued support and thanks to fundraisers like Michele, they are able to continue providing quality care for our patients and their families when they need them most.
It is people like Michelle that make a huge difference and she is a credit to the City of Salford. A true local hero.
