    Councillor Karen Garrido (Ceremonial Mayor of the City of Salford) took the time to pay a visit to Irlam Primary School along with Tony Prescott (Hamilton Davies Trust) to cut the ribbon and open the schools new school library, thanks in part to a £3,000 grant from the Hamilton Davies Trust to replenish ageing book stocks.

    In a day and age when technology rules the lives of many, it's nice to think that kids are still getting the chance to sit in a quiet place and immerse themselves in a good book.
