HEARING DATE SET FOR MANCHESTER RECYCLING'S WASTE TREATMENT SITE APPLICATION IN MONTON

A hearing date has been set for Thursday 1st February and Friday 2nd February 2024 commencing at 10:00am for both days, but as yet the location of the hearing is still to be decided.

There will also be a virtual link to this hearing, for people unable to attend in person.  This will be managed by the Environment Agency and will be sent to you upon request by contacting:  appeals_nps@environment-agency.gov.uk

Manchester Recycling Ltd have appealed a prior decision to reject a permit for a waste recycling plant, accessible via Lansdowne Road in Monton.

Residents living in the area were shocked to find notices pertaining to proposals for a 'household and industrial waste transfer and treatment plant', posted to lampposts.

The notices mysteriously appeared, notifying residents of an online Microsoft Teams meeting.
