  • HELP YOUR LOCAL FOODBANK/CHARITY AND WIN A CHANCE TO SEE SIMPLY SINATRA SHOW IN MANCHESTER

    Salford News

As you may have seen over the past year or so we have been busy helping the foodbank in Eccles, The Mustard Tree, with auctions of paintings by Brian Gorman and local history walks by yours truly.

I am delighted to say that we were contacted by John Brierly a Salford lad with a heart of gold with some good news.

John has offered us two tickets to see the, Simply Sinatra music concert at The Bridgewater Halls, Manchester on Sunday 15th May, not just ordinary tickets these are the best seats in the house and cost £41.50 each, ensuring a great view for you and a companion.

Sadly John will be working away that week and suggested that we auction them off for charity, the charity of the winning bidders choice that is.

Obviously we would like it to be a local charity, Loaves and Fishes perhaps or your local foodbank, there are dozens of deserving causes who would love to benefit from your largesse (look it up).

So if you fancy a night at The Bridgewater Hall listening to, such classics as,Come Fly With Me | My Way | Fly Me To The Moon | New York, New York | Luck Be A Lady Tonight | Mack the Knife | Cheek to Cheek | I’ve Got You Under My Skin | The Lady Is a Tramp | You Make Me Feel So Young and more then read on.

The contest will run from today until next Monday the 18th April, the highest bidder wins the tickets and we will deliver the tickets, you hand over the money which we shall take to your nominated charity for you, winner, winner in my book.

Post your bid on the Facebook page or if you are a secretive millionaire or on the Witness Protection Scheme and require anonymity, contact us at newsdesk@salford.media

So dig deep and get that proverbial, warm inner glow you get for knowing that you have done your good deed for the day....
