The annual event takes place from 18 to 25 November this year. The confidential test involves a simple finger prick and the results are available in just 20 minutes. The aim is to boost early diagnosis and treatment of HIV reducing the spread of the disease and helping people live well for longer. Councillor Gina Reynolds, lead member for adult services, health and wellbeing at Salford City Council, said:

The PaSH (Passionate about Sexual Health) Partnership has been contracted by Salford City Council on behalf of all the Greater Manchester councils. It’s a collaboration between BHA for Equality, George House Trust and the LGBT Foundation all of which currently deliver HIV and STI prevention and support services across Greater Manchester.
