  • HMP FOREST BANK OFFICER ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF CARRYING PROHIBITED ITEMS INTO THE PRISON

    Police confirm a female prison officer was stopped and detained on Saturday morning (7th April), as she carried out her duties, she was later formally arrested on suspicion of conveying prohibited items into the Sodexo ran category B prison in Agecroft, Salford.

    The items are said to be mobile phones and batteries among other banned items.

    The staff member has since been released as a full investigation into the incident takes place.

    A spokesperson for Sodexo said:

    “As this is part of an ongoing police investigation we cannot comment any further.”
