At around 12.10am on Sunday 19 November 2017 police were called after a 20-year-old woman reported an attack and attempted rape.

The woman had been in Albert Park in Salford where she met a man who accompanied her to a party at an address nearby.

Whilst at the address in Higher Broughton, a second man arrived and both men attempted to rape the woman. She managed to fight them off and run away from the property.

Detective Constable Andrew Munden of GMP’s Salford borough, said:

“Thankfully this woman managed to escape from these two men who attacked her in what must have been a terrifying ordeal.

“We have now released an image of a man we wish to speak to in connection with this incident and are asking for the public’s help in identifying who he is.

“I’d stress the importance of anyone who was around Albert Park or the Higher Broughton area that Saturday to try and remember if you heard or saw anything that could help with our investigation, please share this with us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch with police on 0161 856 5461, alternatively call 101 or the independent charity  Crimestoppers on 0800 555 1111.
