The first of three impressive towers in Salford has been completed. Cortland at Cortland Yard is a glass-clad 50-storey ‘build-to-rent’ property.
It has been constructed by Manchester developer Renaker for real estate investment, development and management company Cortland.
The property has 559 one, two and three-bedroom apartments with more than 25,000 sq ft of amenity space, and features a three-storey brick podium level which will include shops restaurants and bars, creating an attractive neighbourhood at street level.
Also included in the scheme is “Greengate Park” – 0.6 acres of public realm with seated and lawned areas, which will provide high-quality amenity for residents and non-residents.
Renaker chief executive Andrew Lofthouse said:
“The completion of Cortland is an exciting and significant step in the delivery of the Greengate masterplan.
“As residents move in and Greengate Park opens, Colliers Yard will truly start to come to life. We look forward to welcoming residents and the wider community to the neighbourhood.”
President of Cortland in Europe Victoria Quinlan added:
“We’re looking forward to welcoming our first residents later this year to experience what is fast becoming a vibrant and exciting place to live, work and socialise.”
