  • MAN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH SHOP BURGLARIES IN SALFORD AND MANCHESTER

    A man has been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries worth almost £100,000 at shops in Salford and Manchester during May 2021.

    The 42-year-old is being questioned on suspicion of burglary and remains in custody for questioning.

    Among the incidents being investigated is a burglary at Ernest Jones jewellers on St Ann Street in Manchester city centre on Wednesday 5 May 2021 and another at Mays Pawnbrokers and Jewellers on Salford Precinct on Monday May 3rd 2021 as well as an unnamed shop on the same precinct on the same day.

    The others are:

    An Unnamed Shop on Salford Shopping Centre Precinct on Monday 3 May 2021

    Mulberry, The Avenue, Manchester city centre, on Wednesday 12 May 2021

    Property stolen from the four burglaries is valued at almost £100,000.
