  • MAN ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF ATTEMPTED MURDER FOLLOWING STABBING AT OAK HILL COURT

    Police have arrested a 22-year-old male on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing incident at Oak Hill Court, Mandley Park Avenue.

    Emergency services were alerted to the stabbing at around at around 5pm on 15 February 2023

    The victim is described as being in a stable condition and remains in hospital.

    The 22-year-old remains in police custody for questioning.

    A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police, said:

    "A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 39-year-old man needed life-saving treatment for stab injuries in Salford. Police responded to reports of a stabbing at Oakhill Court, Mandley Park Avenue, at around 5pm on 15 February 2023.

    "The victim was taken to hospital, where his condition is described as stable. At around 9pm, officers made an arrest and a 22 year-old man remains in police custody for questioning.

    "Officers authorised a Section 60 Order to allow for extra stop-and-search powers - that will be reviewed at 5pm today (16 February 2023). Anyone with information about this incident should contact police on 0161 856 5049 quoting log 2564-15/2/2023."
