  • MAN FORCED ONTO THE ROOF AFTER A FIRE BROKE OUT AT A PROPERTY ON IRLAM THIS MORNING

    Emergency Services have been responding to a fire which broke out at a property on Liverpool road in Irlam at around 10am this morning (Friday 17th Feb). 

    Police present in the area are not confirming any Injuries despite an ambulance being present on the scene.

    However, it is believed that one man was forced to make his escape onto the roof to avoid the thick smoke which could be seen billowing out of the property, it is believed that at least one person was taken to hospital after suffering smoke inhalation.

    Liverpool was temporarily closed to both foot traffic and vehicles in both directions towards cadishead between the St. Teresa of Avila RC church and Alan Miller optometrist, but it has since been reopened.
