Emergency services were called to the scene of a car crash on Thursday night (13th August).
Police, Fire and Ambulance services attended the scene at around 22:15pm after being called by members of the public.
A rapid response team and first responder from North West Ambulance Service was first on the scene and immediate started treating the man.
Fire services used hydraulic cutting gear to free a 30-year-old man who had become trapped inside the vehicle.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire Service said:

"We were called at 10.19pm on Thursday, 13 August, to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Trinity Way, at the junction with Blackfriars Road, in Salford.
"Two fire engines from Salford and the technical response unit from Ashton, quickly attended the scene.
"Fire crews extracted one man trapped in one of the vehicles, alongside colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service.
"Crews were at the scene for around 50 minutes.”
The man was taken to hospital and the extent of his injuries has not yet been disclosed.
