  • MAN RESCUED FROM THE WATER AT SALFORD QUAYS

    Emergency services have reportedly rescued a person from the water at Salford Quays this evening.

    At around 4:45pm this evening (Tuesday 7th March) a man was rescued from the water by emergency services using a rescue boat.

    The man was taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service, his condition is currently unknown.

    A spokesperson for GMFRS, said:

    “At approximately 4.45pm on Tuesday 7 March, firefighters were called out to reports of someone in the water near The Quays, Salford.

    “Two fire engines from Salford Fire Station, two rescue units from Leigh and a rescue boat from Eccles all quickly attended the scene and rescued a man from the water who is being treated by North West Ambulance Service.”
