At around 7.25pm on Thursday 16 November 2017, police received a report that an armed robbery had taken place at Roked Filling Station on Wellington Road, Eccles.
It was reported to officers that a man had entered the petrol station and pulled a large machete from his clothing as he marched towards staff behind the counter.
He demanded the staff open the till before making off with a small amount of cash.
Officers investigating the incident are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.Detective Constable Dave Cupitt of GMP’s Salford Borough, said:

“The sheer fear the staff in the shop were subjected to is absolutely unacceptable, and all for a handful of notes.
“Please get in touch with us if you saw anything or know anything.
“No-one should be put through the horror of this kind of thing at any time and definitely not when they’re at work, innocently earning a living.”
