A Salford street saw scenes of armed police carrying out a raid on the premises of a man wanted on suspicion of drug offences yesterday mid-morning.
Police from the Armed Response Unit along with police dogs were out in force as they attempted to carry out the raid and apprehend the man.
Meanwhile on Eccles New Road an Armed Response Vehicle was apparently rammed by a Volkswagen Golf, bringing disruption to the tram network on the Eccles line.
People using the trams were forced to use alternative bus routes.
We are currently awaiting an update from GMP regarding this incident.
