  • MOTORCYCLIST INJURED AFTER A COLLISION WITH A CAR ON OLDFIELD ROAD

    A man in his late 20's to early 30's has been injured this morning (Friday 20th September) after the motorcycle he was on was involved in a collision with an Audi car.

    He was taken to Salford Royal after sustaining very serious head injuries.

    Oldfield road was cordoned off between Liverpool Street and Regent Road whilst paramedics dealt with the incident. The cordon has since been lifted.

    A spokesperson for NWAS said,

    "We were called at 10.20am to a road traffic accident between a car and a motorcycle.

    "We have taken the patient to Salford Royal. He suffered a very serious head injury. A helimedic was sent to the scene.

    "The patient was taken to hospital via land ambulance."
