  • MOTORCYLIST IN LIFE-THREATENING CONDITION AFTER A CRASH ON THE M60 SLIPWAY IN ECCLES

    A 24-year-old Motorcyclist is fighting for his life after a horrific rush-hour crash which happened on the clockwise m60 slipway at the Eccles junction 11 yesterday evening.

    At around 4:30pm yesterday (Tuesday 31st May), emergency services were called to the scene of a collision between a Honda motorcycle and a back Audi A1 in which the motorcyclist had sustained serious head injuries. The slipway and was closed and traffic was diverted around the area.

    The biker was quickly transferred to hospital where it is said he remains in a life threatening condition.

    The driver of the Audi remained at the scene and is helping police with their investigation into the cause of the accident. There have been no arrests made thus far.

    Police are asking for members of the public who may have witnessed the collision or have dash cam footage which could help in their investigations, to come forward.
